We haven’t time, and to see takes time – like to have a friend takes time.” – Georgia O’Keeffe This week I want to introduce one of the famous American Artist Georgia O'Keeffe (1887-1986).She is a American abstract painter .O'Keeffe painted still lifes, massive flowers, the New York at Night series, southwestern landscapes and stark bones found in the desert. Instead of painting usual size of flowers she painted enlarged versions ... of a single flower, like what you would see if you were to look through a magnifying glass. Needless to say, this fascination resulted in some stunning painting and make her very famous. She has been recognized as a " Mother of American Modernism".  I have done this workshop with my students , they all enjoyed and learned a new techniques.I also tried some of her paintings it was awesome and still i want to learn more . For most of us December brings cooler temperatures and craziness of the holiday season. Recently I came up with this idea storytime with art concept.I made my own name for this concept called ST-ART. I was so excited about all the book choices and finally choosed famous Author Eric carlc book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar " . I always admired with his colorful illustration. His books are all time favourites for Children's. During this class kids made own illustration for their ... book. Some of the young kids made their own book for first time. ST-ART is the great opportunity for young children experience with Art and Books.

    In Today's episode I want to telecast a French Still life painting Artist Paul Cézanne .His painting mostly of household objects arranged with various fruits.     Paul Cézanne would spend hours arranging the fruit and his moving his easel around to get just the right perspective .He chooses a dark colors and moody shadows. He is one of the iconic still life painting Artist in art history!!!

Kolams are decorative geometrical patterns that adorn the entrances of households and places of worship in India and it's called Rangoli also. There are several types of Rangoli are there.Today I would like to talk about only Kolam. Kolam is the mother art for my Art journey. I learned this art from my mother. In my childhood I didn't went any art class.Honestly I learned all my drawings from Kolam.Not only me so many women in India 😀 .Some people will say I don't know how to draw. But all the southern part of women has to do kolam mandatory . Kolam has the amazing concept of Dots to Drawing.This concept makes everyone to draw.I have added kolam in my Smart Arts curriculum.   Kolam is a line drawing of curves and loops around a regular grid of points. The traditional South Indian kolam, based on a grid of points is known as Kolam and Muggulu in Andhra Pradesh, Rangavalli in Karnataka .
